SOKO Fitness & Spa Group, Inc. (SOKF.OB) Announces Grand Opening of Two Strategically Located Fitness/Health Facilities

SOKO Fitness & Spa Group Inc. is an operator of fitness centers, beauty salons and spas in Northeast China as well as suburban Beijing. For the last several months the company has prepared its recent announcement of the opening of two new facilities – the Daoli Fitness and Legend Spa Central Club.

The company now holds majority ownership in 13 fitness and spa facilities in Harbin, one of the three largest cities in Northeastern China, a location the company believes to be strategically near its upper-middle class demographic.

“Our newest facility openings further expand our presence in what we believe is an ideal location in Harbin, where there remains significant opportunity to attract new customers and clients from the city’s rapidly growing upper-middle class,” Tong Liu, CEO of SOKO stated in the press release. “Having three facilities under a single roof allows us to fully leverage our cross-selling model while offering our customers and members a complete range of fitness, wellness and aesthetic services. Strong pre-sale activity at both Legend Spa and Daoli Fitness, as well as the continued growth we have achieved at Yoga Wave Harbin in the last four months, provides further validation of our prominent reputation in Harbin and the significant brand equity we have built since opening our first Harbin spa 18 years ago.”

SOKU management said it expects business at the new locations to match the consistent increase that other facilities have experienced in their first couple years of operations. The company’s ability to sign up customers before the grand openings reflects strong marketing efforts.

The company’s Legend Spa Central Club is a 20,000-square foot facility with 23 treatment rooms featuring a range of high-end beauty and aesthetic treatments. The company has already signed more than 250 customers up in pre-opening marketing efforts.

At its 20,000-square foot Daoli Fitness facility, SOKU sold more than 100 memberships during pre-opening sales activities. The facility features high-end classrooms and an area for private training sessions, state of the art equipment, amenities and classes, including spin, Pilates and aerobics taught by expert trainers and instructors.
