Scorpex, Inc. is focused on constructing strategically placed, specially designed, storage, recycling and disposal facilities in various locations across Mexico. The Company formerly went by the name Steadfast Holdings Group, Inc. They changed their name to Scorpex, Inc. on May 20, 2011.
The design of Scorpex’s facilities is specifically for processing industrial waste. This includes those materials that are classified as industrial, toxic, and hazardous. The growth of new industries in Mexico has increased the need for the disposal of industrial waste throughout the country, particularly in the Baja California region.
The Mexican government has passed various environmental mandates to address this issue. Scorpex, Inc. is addressing these mandates by proposing to build the first Industrial Waste Processing Facility of its kind in Baja Mexico.
The first facility will be on the existing Scorpex, Inc. property (24 plus acres) located just outside Ensenada, Mexico. This location is less than three miles from the current landfill in Ensenada, Baja, Mexico.
The Company has received approval to construct ten hazardous and industrial waste storage structures on their Ensenada property. They have built 80 percent of the first storage facility. The special design of these structures includes concrete flooring and special catch drainage systems, a 10,000 square foot uniquely designed storage facility with 22-foot ceilings, and an emergency fire sprinkler system. They have also upgraded the property with a water reservoir and septic system.
Scorpex, Inc. has contracted with IET to build their state of the art waste gasification plant on site. The IET plant will have the capability of processing 800 tons daily of hazardous and industrial waste. Scorpex has secured commitments from various companies within Baja, Mexico. These manufacturers and waste haulers will use the Company’s new facility for the storage and disposal of their industrial waste.
