PureSpectrum, Inc. engages in developing, marketing, licensing and contract manufacturing of fluorescent lighting technology for use in residential, commercial and industrial applications. The Company’s goal is to expand the product line, marketing efforts and sales of multiple lines of dimmable linear fluorescent products. Founded in 2000, PureSpectrum Inc. has their corporate headquarters in Pooler, Georgia.
PureSpectrum believes interest in their dimmable Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) will increase when they are capable of offering a complete line of bulbs to include multiple styles and wattages that address varying consumer demands. They are looking to develop and manufacture proprietary and non-proprietary CFLs. They are introducing products and identifying technologies that enable energy conservation and improved performance without increased cost or confusion for the consumer.
The Company is developing or identifying from other sources electrical circuit topology and related technologies. This is to create a family of electronic ballasts for use in compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) and with linear fluorescent lamps (LFLs). They are developing dimming devices for use in CFLs and LFLs.
PureSpectrum seeks to distribute or sell CFLs powered by their proprietary ballasts and which incorporate their dimmers. They also look to distribute or sell continuous dimming linear ballasts, with dimmers for LFLs, as well as separately.
Additionally, they seek to distribute or sell dimming devices and fixture lighting systems based on their ballast topology as well as other technologies and product applications from other sources, manufacturers, and developers that they may directly brand and sell as their own.
PureSpectrum Inc.’s intention is to market their products to public utilities, utility-company consortiums, and manufacturers’ representatives and distributors via manufacturers’ representative agreements and an online retail store.
For the three months ended March 31, 2011, PureSpectrum Inc. recognized $25,682 in revenues. This is in comparison to $9,079 in revenue for the three months ended March 31, 2010. For the three months ended March 31, 2011, the Company’s net loss was $390,742. This is in comparison to a net loss of $2,312,437 for the three months ended March 31, 2010.
In May, PureSpectrum, Inc. CEO Mr. Gregory Clements announced the formation of a wholly owned subsidiary, Tomorrows Lighting, Inc. (a Nevada Corporation). The Company will transfer their patents and technology rights to Tomorrows Lighting, Inc. (TLI).
TLI’s goal is to maximize shareholder value through creating the greatest revenue potential for their current patents. In addition, their goal is to explore fully the ongoing opportunities regarding TLI’s development of a commercially viable lighting controls system.
Mr. Clements said last month, “Based upon recent discussions with interested parties we believe creating this subsidiary allows management the necessary vehicle to fully explore these opportunities and explore possible acquisition targets for the benefit of the shareholders.”
