The company announced today that it is in the final stages of preparations for the upcoming drill program at its Hercules Gold & Silver Property in southern Lyon County, Nevada. The Hercules project currently consists of 88 mining claims for a total of 1,760 acres, which are located in the Walker Lane Mineral Belt in southern Lyon County. This area includes several world-class deposits such as the Comstock Lode.
The drilling program will begin as soon as the ground work has been completed and the drill rig and crew have been mobilized. The final preparation under way is the building of roads for access to the drill target areas on the Hercules property. Willow Creek expects the drill program to start in early June.
The company has planned an exploration program of angle drill holes, both core and reverse circulation-rotary. This program will attempt to confirm and enhance the indicted 583,000 gold-equivalent ounce resource with infill drilling. The president of Willow Creek, Terry Fields, spoke of the program’s goals, “We believe the new drilling and exploration activities could help identify significant gold and silver resources in addition to the mineral resource estimates already identified in previous assessments.”
