Omnicity Corp. (OMCY.OB) Announces Another Acquisition

Omnicity Corp., one of the largest fixed Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISP) in the U.S., today announced that it has acquired the subscribers and network infrastructure of Rushville, Indiana based Rushville Internet Services, LLC. The company believes this acquisition will serve as a springboard for expanding service into southern Indiana.

Greg Jarman, CEO of Omnicity, stated, “Acquiring Rushville Internet was strategically very important to us. By acquiring the assets of this company we pick up 450 customers and control of 10 important access points along the southern edge of our network. In addition to the top line revenue growth, it gives us a good stepping off point as we start to push south as well as north and west.”

In an effort to further enhance the services available to these newly acquired subscribers, Omnicity intends to add Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VOIP) and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) throughout the coverage area.

This transaction marks the fifth strategic acquisition completed by Omnicity. These acquisitions have enabled the company to continue towards its goal of becoming one of the largest rural broadband providers across the United States. Omnicity’s rapid expansion strategy has increased the company’s client base exponentially.
