Since the industrial revolution, imaginative people have been continually creating new technology. The new devices of today often make our lives easier, but only if they work. Most international business travelers have probably faced a situation when their cellular phone or PDA does not work in a certain city or country. Companies can no longer just create electronic communication devices; they must also consider the geographic range that their products will be used.
During its development phase, GTX Corp took geographic scope into account and has signed several agreements with strategic partners. GTX has a number of products ready for deployment and its partners will ensure that its devices will work worldwide. While the Global Positioning System (GPS) developed by the US Department of Defense can be used freely by civilians, the GTX devices need to be linked with a number of other applications to function properly. One key relationship is with Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) Earth, which combines Google Search and Google Maps with maps, terrain, and satellite imagery to allow users to be located all over the world.
GTX has also partnered with Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ: BRCM) to utilize its Global Locate IndoorGPS® technology. Global Locate specializes in assisting companies create miniaturized electronic devices at a low price point that consume ultra-low levels of power. Partnering with Broadcom is a tremendous achievement as the Global Locate technology meets the most stringent Mobile Operator A-GPS performance requirements for E911, E112, Navigation, Location-enabled services, Autonomous, and location-based services application.
GTX has entered into an agreement with AT&T (NYSE: T) to ensure that its devices are able to relay GPS coordinates appropriately through the company’s ALLOVER™ Network, which is regarded as the largest and fastest digital voice and data network in the United States. The ALLOVER™ Network, which currently covers the top 100 U.S. markets with over 270 million users, offers a national GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication) footprint over all its service regions. GSM is the world’s most popular wireless phone technology that is used by over 1 billion people worldwide.
The Parthenon Group is another important partner that consults with GTX management. Parthenon has over 150 members in their offices in Boston, London, and San Francisco that advise CEOs and business leaders worldwide. Not only is Parthenon an important advisor to GTX, Parthenon is also in a position to assist its clients with funding if necessary, as it is a founding partner of a small to mid-cap hedge fund named Strategic Value Capital.
To ensure that it is able to meet consumer demand, GTX has also entered into an agreement with Pou Chen Corporation, an athletic and casual footwear manufacturer. Since it was founded in 1969, Pou Chen has expanded to over 376 production lines in China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mexico and the U.S. Pou Chen should be able to meet GTX growing needs as it already successfully produces over 200 million pairs of shoes per year.
Since its founding, GTX has not only focused on refining its products, but is making a conscious effort to build relationships with its partners that ensure that its devices will be build with the best technology and work right out of the box.
