VitaminSpice, an industry leader focused on manufacturing and marketing gourmet spices, announced today that they have received an order from Vitacost.com, the #1 online supplier of vitamins and supplements.
With over one million active customers, Vitacost has established a thriving business since its inception in 1994 through promoting health and wellness by providing superior-quality vitamins, minerals, herbs, dietary supplements health products, low carb foods/drinks, nutraceauticals and organics direct to consumers at wholesale prices. VitaCost projects revenues in excess of $225 million for 2010.
VitaminSpice was contacted by VitaCost early this year to express interest in carrying their products. In the press release, Edward Bukstel, CEO of VitaminSpice, restated what was conveyed to him by VitaCost in saying, “VitaminSpice has been drawing interest among our customers and would be a great addition to VitaCost. We would like to carry your products and become a retailer of VitaminSpice.”
Mr. Bukstel commented on the new relationship by saying, “We continue to ensure that VitaminSpice is available through highly respected retailers and are honored to be selected by VitaCost.”
This is not the first order for VitaminSpice since they have been aggressively marketing their products over the last two months. The national rollout of their products in Walgreens began in June when hundreds of cases were shipped to locations in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
In the news nine days ago, VitaminSpice announced a multi-pallet order for national distribution from its distribution partner, Source Atlantique. Source Atlantique, through its network of brokers and distribution agreements, has national reach covering 98% of all grocery stores, specialty food stores, and health food stores in the United States and Canada.
To further assist with nationwide marketing, VitaminSpice has signed an agreement with Christina Pirello, Emmy-Award winning host and chef, who has the longest-running healthy cooking program that airs nationwide in over 200 markets. The agreement between the companies will include e-commerce and co-marketing of the Christina Cooks and VitaminSpice Brands. This will include website, email distribution, and traditional sales and marketing channels.
Referring to the rapid pace at which VitaminSpice is growing their brand, Mr. Bukstel has commented on the VitaminSpice business plan in stating, “The main effort now and going forward for VitaminSpice is to properly manage the massive rollout of the product to the market here in the USA and then worldwide.” VitaminSpice is committed to this effort and it is a core mission to increase the nutritional value of foods by enhancing ordinary condiments such as spices, sauces, etc. with vitamins that will increase the health and wellness of children, families, and busy adults.
