China Yongxin Pharmaceuticals Inc., a leading Chinese health products distribution and retail sales company, today announced the opening of seven new chain drugstores in July as the company executes its plan to extend its market reach.
The seven stores are in addition to several stores already opened this year, reflecting 30 stores in Changchun City, 31 in Baishan City, and a total of 110 throughout Northeastern China.
“We are pleased to announce the opening of a total of 13 new stores in 2010, expanding our footprint within densely populated and high income districts. We continue to be confident that we will reach our projected goals for 2010 and become the largest drugstore chain in Northeastern China,” Yongxin Liu, chairman and CEO of China Yongxin stated in the press release.
China Yongxin said it accelerated the pace of the grand openings of the stores to reach its previously announced goal of opening 29 stores in 2010, as part of its long-term objective to become one of the top 20 pharmaceutical retail chain enterprises in China.
The locations of the drug stores were chosen for their high density and income residential demographic, and offer over-the-counter Chinese traditional and Western medicines, prescription pharmaceuticals, natural health products including herbal and nutritional supplements, health foods, personal care products and cosmetics.
