The company today provided an update on the Play MPE rollout in Canada. 1,400 radio station and music industry staff have registered to become Play MPE members and over 13,000 songs have been sent to 455 Canadian recipients in 2010, including several songs that were exclusive to Play MPE members. In addition, all Canadian radio stations have access to 17,000 Play MPE songs through exclusive Mediabase Canada download links.
In order to familiarize key Canadian radio station personnel with Play MPE, the company’s staff began tours in May to visit major market radio stations across Canada in person. By the end of June, program directors, music directors and station managers at over fifty stations will be individually familiarized with the advantages of Play MPE.
Both the recording industry and media outlets are pleased with Play MPE. Canadian radio stations are appreciate of all the new content being made available by Canadian record labels.
