Knightscope, a developer of advanced physical security technologies utilizing fully autonomous security robots (“ASRs”), has announced that, in an effort assist in combating the spread of COVID-19, it has developed a way for its clients to measure body temperatures of employees and visitors entering a facility. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicates that a person with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or greater has a “fever,” a symptom of COVID-19. Knightscope has enhanced its K1 ASRs to now offer an optional EBT feature with the capability to monitor building entry points to identify high-risk individuals and further ensure safety in public spaces.
