Skyline Medical, Inc. (SKLN) in the Running to Showcase the STREAMWAY System at LifeScience Ally Conference

Skyline Medical, maker of a patented FDA-cleared STREAMWAY surgical fluid disposal system, is one of 10 companies vying for the opportunity to showcase its product to the 2013 LifeScience Alley Conference on November 20, 2013, in Minneapolis, Minn.

SKLN believes the opportunity to exhibit its STREAMWAY System will raise additional awareness of its flagship technology among its peers in the life science and healthcare industry in attendance of the annual conference.

“It’s an honor to be considered one of the top new technologies at this year’s LifeScience Alley conference,” Josh Kornberg, CEO of SKLN, stated in the press release. “We hope to make it into the top three so we can present the STREAMWAY System to all of the conference attendees and generate even more awareness about the benefits of our solution – from its environmental advantages and ease of use to how much safer it will keep hospital and surgical center personnel.”

SKLN’s STREAMWAY System utilizes direct-to-drain technology to virtually eliminate certain operating room workers’ exposure to blood, irrigation fluid and other potentially infectious fluids, significantly decreasing disposal costs. The STREAMWAY System is an integrated into each surgical room that is connected to the hospital’s existing drain and vacuum system.

“The STREAMWAY System is the ideal solution for fluid waste management, and 2013 has been an incredibly successful year for us. Not only have we penned multiple installation deals across the United States, we are now established as the go-to solution in the industry and are taking a significant amount of market share from a major competitor,” said Kornberg.

At this year’s LifeScience Ally annual conference, life science leaders from more than 450 companies, 24 states, and 10 countries to attend presentations will gather to hear industry thought leaders discuss industry transformations, advances and emerging new business models.
