Green Innovations, via its wholly owned subsidiary, Green Hygienics, has acquired the “Sensational” trademark from Texas-based Sensational Brands (SBI-TX), a distributor of specialty branded and private label bathroom tissue, paper napkins, paper towels, and wipes.
Per the deal, Green Hygienics will manufacture and distribute its non-green product lines under the Sensational trademark through its new Florida subsidiary, Sensational Brands (SBI-FL).
The acquisition corresponds with Green Innovation’s dedication to producing eco-friendly goods derived from bamboo products.
“The acquisition of the ‘Sensational’ trademark is strategically important as it provides us with an established brand which complements the company’s current line of green eco-friendly products. The addition of the ‘Sensational’ brand offerings will allow our retailers to fill their shelves with both green and non-green product options thereby satisfying all customer needs as well as boosting potential company sales,” Bruce Harmon, CEO of Green Innovations, stated in the press release.
SBI-TX has an established distribution network through independent grocery stores and dollar store chains, and recently engaged four regional food brokers to promote awareness and sales of the “Sensational” brand nationwide.
“The combination offer of Green Hygienics’ 100 percent bamboo eco-friendly products with potential ‘Sensational’ trademarked non-green products and an expanding distribution network should be a winning scenario for the company, the retailers and the consumers,” stated Tray Harrison, national sales manager of Green Hygienics. “We believe that this combination will give us the opportunity to introduce an expanded product line to a wider national audience that, for the most part, has not been offered well-priced high quality eco-friendly personal care and paper-based goods.”
