Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. (TLF) Reports Strong Increase in March Sales

Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. announced that March 2010 sales came in at $5.4 million, an increase of 17% from March 2009. The company said that year to date, sales were $14.6 million through the end of March 2010, compared to $13.4 million in the first three months of 2009.

“Our first quarter sales have been very strong, and I expect we will see the trend continue into the second quarter as we are working against softer comps from the first half of 2009. The real test will be the last half of the year, as the comps get tougher. Greene, the CFO of Tandy Leather Factory, Inc.

The increase in sales at Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. was across all of its segments. Total sales at the company’s 74 retail stores were $2.8 million in March 2010, compared to $2.3 million in March 2009. Retail comparable same store sales were up 20% year over year.

Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. said that in the Wholesale division, sales increased by 12% on a year over year basis, from $2.1 million in March 2009 to $2.4 million in March 2010.
